deepx partners with Baidu to advance on-device AI for industrial applications

deepxAI Semiconductor Company partners with Baidu to promote global on-device AI solutions in industries such as drones, Robotics, and OCR.

The partnership is based on PaddlePaddle, Baidu's open source deep learning framework that supports the development and deployment of AI models. Deepx's DX-M1 chip Especially in edge environments, Baidu's AI model showed high performance and power efficiency.

The companies will focus on integrating AI models for drones, robots and OCR, and incorporate them into DeepX hardware for real-world applications. Deepx also converts OpenVino-based AI models to be compatible with the DX-M1 chip, increasing adoption within the paddle paddle ecosystem.

“The partnership with Baidu represents a key turning point in the rapid spread of DeepX's AI semiconductor technology to global industrial sites,” said Lokwon Kim, CEO of DeepX. “We will strengthen our competitiveness in the global AI market through practical commercialization based on paddle paddles and the Ernie ecosystem and various industrial collaborations.”

DEEPX is developing a visual focused NPU card (V-NPU) to replace GPUs, and is expected to be mass-produced in September 2025. Future plans include the use of Samsung's 2NM AI semiconductors for next-generation product development.
