X has introduced a new feature that uses Grok AI to convert photos to video. Here's how to try this feature using your iPhone:
Scrolling through X may immediately feel different. The platform introduces the ability to allow users to convert photos from their feeds into short videos. According to Elon Musk, the new tools powered by Grok AI will first arrive on iOS devices, and Android support is expected soon.
This feature works under Grok Imagine. This has recently become free for all users around the world for a limited time. This move illustrates X's ongoing efforts to simplify the creation of AI-powered content and to more integrate within the platform.

How it works
Users will need to update the X app to the latest version, update LongPress to images in their feed, and select the “Create Video with GROK” option. The selected photos will be sent directly to the Grok app, which processes and generates the video in about 17 seconds. The completed video can be combined with any of the four available audio tracks and is ready to be shared immediately. The integration removes the need to manually upload photos to Glock, as the process runs in the background.

What you need before trying this feature
To use the tool, users must install the GROK app and log in to their registered account. iOS users can try out the feature now, but Android users will have to wait for release. The mask shows that Android deployment is “soon coming.” Updating your apps via the App Store or Google Play Store guarantees access to the latest available features.
This update follows other recent changes from Grok, including the introduction of Automotive and Expert Mode in GROK 4 and improved PDF processing. Grok Imagine was released on Android. This allows you to create a 6-second video from a text prompt or image. Musk confirmed that the Grok 5 is due to be released later this year.

In other news, the official Grok AI X Accgrok AI X official X account was temporarily suspended on Monday. A notification has appeared indicating that your account is violating platform rules. The account was restored within about 15 minutes and initially showed only a blue verification check instead of the golden badge linked to Xai. Both the badge and partner tag were later revived after users reported the issue to Elon Musk.
