The South Korean tech giant announced Tuesday that its “latest Galaxy smartphones” will now have access to a new integrated suite of AI-powered editing tools. Samsung didn’t specifically mention the S26 in its announcement, but we think it’s a safe choice.

The company is widely expected to announce three new Galaxy S26 smartphones at next week’s Galaxy Unpacked event, so this will definitely be a flagship feature of the new devices. This comes as no surprise since Galaxy smartphones are powered by Google Gemini, which is widely regarded as the best generative AI photo editor thanks to Nano Banana.
According to the teaser, photo and video capture and editing features will be combined into a single app experience. So users no longer have to switch between multiple apps to make all their edits. Examples include converting a daytime photo to a nighttime photo or merging multiple photos into one.
Perhaps most importantly, Samsung said it would expand on this feature with Galaxy Unpacked. Otherwise, the press release was very short and somewhat vague, so we’ll have to wait until then to hear more details.
