Srinagar, June 24: The Nvidia Deep Learning Ambassador workshop was held at Shale Eximir Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir University from June 17th to 24th. The workshop was led by Dr. Ambreen Hamadani, an assistant professor and junior scientist at Skuast-Kashmir and certified instructor under Nvidia's Deep Learning Institute. This training was organized by the Animal/Plant Modeling Lab at Skuast-Kashmir's Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML).
During an intensive week of workshops, students were introduced to the fundamentals of deep learning and engaged in practical exercises, including neural network training. They collaborated with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNS), implemented data augmentation techniques, deployed pre-trained models, investigated advanced deep learning architectures, and gained valuable practical experience in AI model development. Professor Nazir Ahmad Ganai, deputy prime minister of Skuast-Kashmir, decorated the workshop's introductory session and expressed his deep satisfaction with the implementation. A solid advocate for integrating technology into agriculture, he highlighted the key needs to raise students in emerging domains. His unwavering support, visionary leadership and exceptional guidance were deeply appreciated by both instructors and trainees. Over 45 trainees from across the country participated in online/offline mode training. They expressed their gratitude to the university for such useful training, which certification was provided directly by Nvidia.
