Runway posted on X. “Introducing Runway Aleph, a new way to edit, convert and generate videos. Aleph is a cutting-edge context video model with the ability to set up new frontiers for multitasking visuals and perform a wide range of editing on input videos such as adding, removing, converting objects, changing scenes, and reaching new angles such as scene modifications.

Runway Aleph represents a significant advance in AI-driven video generation. This model allows creators to edit videos using descriptive text prompts. Runway demonstrates its capabilities in a blog post, showing that Aleph can not only transform the time and weather conditions in the scene, but also change materials, reconstruct objects, and apply certain motion dynamics, such as drone camera movements, to completely different settings.

This tool can also generate additional frames beyond the original video and create alternative perspectives such as extreme close-ups and wide-angle shots. All of these transformations are performed while maintaining the original context and continuity of the footage.

Runway has yet to disclose specific technical specifications for ALEPH, including supported video lengths, aspect ratios, and price tier. The company's video AI tools are already being used by leading content producers such as Netflix, Amazon and Disney, suggesting that Aleph is intended for professionals seeking flexible, AI-enhanced editing options.
