The course was launched in collaboration with the Sabud Foundation. The center has been renamed as ‘Punjab University Emerging Innovation Technology Centre, Mohali’. New courses related to artificial intelligence (AI) and data science have been launched.
Mr Sandhwan said on this occasion that the introduction of such modern courses has started a new era in Punjab as these courses require the time required to connect with technology.
He said he will share this initiative of the University of the Punjab with Prime Minister Bhagwant Man so that more efficient work can be done in this direction.
Vice Chancellor Professor Arvind said the university needs new courses if it wants to become a true competitor in the current era. “In addition to traditional courses, we should start an exclusive program,” he said.
On this occasion, Dr. Rekha Bhatia, Coordinator of Mohali Centre, said that the duration of all 33 courses varies from 1 to 12 weeks. Courses include Python programming, data science, machine learning, deep learning, proof of data, natural language processing, and more. She said students, working people and business people can enroll in these new courses.
Sabudh Foundation co-founder Sarabjot Singh said he wants to train young people to compete with changing technological advances.
