After previewing the AI-powered video editing tool late last year, Meta is first available in both Meta AI and Instagram editing apps, using a new “Restyle” option that allows users to completely change the context of video clips.

As you can see from these examples, Restyle uses AI understanding to completely change the context of your video. So, if you want to make it look like an animated movie or underwater, you can use these AI filters to reform your content.

As explained by Meta:

“We now have the ability to easily edit short form videos using a variety of preset AI prompts that allow you to change outfits, locations, styles, and more. Available in over 12 countries in the US and around the world.. ”

Therefore, you need to select from the presets. There is no option yet to edit a clip based on a text prompt. But it's also in the pipeline, with Meta working on a variety of AI customization and editing tools to help you customize and rethink video clips.

Meta says there is now Over 50 editing prompts can be used to convert 10 seconds of videos “Limited Time Free”.

It's worth noting. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri previously said that editing is free for now, but it may need to be accessed in the future to cover costs like AI editing elements.

From the wording here, that still appears to be true, but meta could be moved to the paid subscription tier at some stage for editing.

But for now, you can try these prompts for free. This can also be used in meta AI apps.

“After you select the preset prompt, Meta AI will edit the video to suit the scenario you choose. You can turn the video into a graphic novel and see yourself rethinking as an illustration in a vintage comic book. Battle clothes.”

There are many different options here, but I can imagine that many people would like to try them out. See what Meta's evolving video editing tools can do.

As we know, does it change the video on IG?

I think the impact here is similar to that of Snapchat lenses. Because some people are interested in trending effects and features, but most will continue to share regular uploads instead.

Because social apps are ultimately about connections and filtering content into unrealistic scenarios, so impressive novelty is useless in that respect.

But like lenses, there are trend filters, and many people post their take on these trends using the same effects.

Either way, it's an impressive option based on examples and could open up more sharing and engagement opportunities in the meta app.
