The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is inviting applications for its AI Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) program, an advanced certification course designed for working engineers and technicians seeking a career in enterprise artificial intelligence (AI).
Offered through IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Program (CEP), the program aims to equip learners with industry-relevant skills required for roles such as Forward Deployment Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, and AI Solutions Architect. The institute says the course focuses on deploying AI solutions in real-world enterprise environments, rather than building prototypes in isolation.
This program is aimed at professionals who want to gain expertise in deploying AI systems using real data, real users, and real enterprise constraints. It follows a 70:30 build-to-delivery curriculum that combines technical engineering concepts and client-facing delivery skills needed to take AI applications from prototype to production.

The program will be led by the Dean of Delhi Technological University Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology Management along with Delhi Technological University faculty and industry experts.

What will participants learn?
The curriculum is designed to help learners build production-ready AI systems. Participants will learn:
- Design and deploy a search extension generation (RAG) pipeline
- Build and debug agent AI systems
- Fine-tune and customize large-scale language models (LLMs)
- Deploy AI systems in regulated sectors while addressing compliance requirements under frameworks such as HIPAA and Digital Personal.
- Data Protection (DPDP) Law and EU AI Law
- Connect AI systems with enterprise platforms, APIs, and databases
- Protect your AI applications from instant injection, hallucinations, and data privacy risks.
- Effectively communicate AI project results to business and executive stakeholders
The program also includes five capstone projects, culminating in a live final introductory presentation in front of a panel of subject matter experts.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have a graduate degree in one of the following fields:
- BTech/BE
- BCA/MCA
- BSc (all streams)
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Mathematics
This course is also available on weekends, making it ideal for working adults.

Participants who complete the program will receive a verifiable electronic certificate issued by the Delhi Technological University Continuing Education Program (CEP).
Two types of certificates will be awarded.
- Certificate of Completion: Attendance rate of 50% or higher, total quiz score of 50% or higher.
- Certificate of Participation: Attendance of 50% or above.
- No printed certificate will be issued.
Program fee
The total program fee is Rs 1,65,000 plus 18% GST.
The payment schedule includes:
- Application fee: Rs 1,000 plus GST (non-refundable, non-transferable)
- First installment: Rs 15,000 plus GST, payable within 3 days of receiving offer letter
- 2nd installment: Rs 1,50,000 + GST, payable by October 16, 2026
Candidates who withdraw within 15 days of program start will receive a refund of 80% of the program fee paid, excluding applicable taxes. There are no refunds for withdrawals made after 15 days from the start of the program.
