Amazon.in on Monday announced the expansion of its Amazon Future Engineers (AFE) program to bring advanced coding and artificial intelligence (AI) modules to 100 schools of the Karnataka Association of Residential Educational Institutions (KREIS).
The company said in a statement that it will also provide enhanced digital infrastructure to 30 KREIS schools.

“This expansion will affect over 13,000 students from classes 6 to 8 in 30 districts of Karnataka,” it said.
The expanded module will enable students to develop complex computer applications that incorporate advanced programming concepts such as control conditions, variables and functions, the company said.
“Furthermore, through project-based learning, students will learn the basics of AI and gain a better understanding of its relevance, future possibilities, and impact on their lives and the world around them,” the statement added. Ta.
The program is said to complement current courses in coding, logical sequences, learning loops, and block programming offered to KREIS schools under the Amazon Future Engineer program.
The 20-hour module is designed with students' current exposure to computer science and coding in mind. Sixth graders will be taught the basics of block programming, while seventh and eighth graders will learn advanced programming and AI basics, the statement added.
