AI, hospitality sector will help white-collar job market grow by 4% in February, Naukri reports

India's white-collar job market grew 4% year-on-year in February 2025, and continues to grow 4% year-on-year, according to a release by Job Portal Nowkuli on Monday.

He said recruiting artificial intelligence, including machine learning, and that the hospitality sector has helped to thrive space employment rates.

Pointing to both January and February, the report said the job market started the new year with a positive note.

“And this year looks even more promising given the 8% de-growth seen in February last year. AI/ML employment continues to trend towards buoyancy, but it is also encouraged to see sectors that drive hospitality growth.

Naukri JobSpeak is a monthly index that tracks India's job market trends and recruitment activities based on new job listings and recruiter searches in Naukri.com's Resume database.

Other sectors that performed positively in February included real estate (9%), FMCG (8%), Pharma (5%) and GCC (2%), with banking continuing to decline at 6%.

However, it was noted that employment remained flat on the overall level. At the same time, the technology sector said it showed signs of improvement compared to the sharp decline in 2024 overall.

Employment in emerging IT cities such as Jaipur and Coimbatore has risen by 19% and 10%, thereby bumping into trends elsewhere.

When it came to hire fresh people, the report found overall to remain flattened in February 2025.

However, the hospitality and telecom sectors witnessed a 23% and 11% growth in fresh recruitment, respectively.
