Visakhapatnam: The Teacher Development Program (FDP) was held here on Monday, focusing on “AI Innovation in Data Science and Computer Vision.”
The program was designed to cover new domains, explainable AI, AI applications, and AI applications, with an emphasis on real use cases and interdisciplinary applications.
At his address in the first session, Professor J Ravi Kumar of Nit Warangal, a specialist in machine learning algorithms, control systems and digital signal processing, emphasized the urgent need to integrate AI and machine learning (AIML) into the mainstream curriculum, highlighting that students will cultivate and train students for the future of data drive.
Hosted by Gitam in collaboration with Electronics and ICT Academy and NIT Warangal, FDP, The Event aimed to provide a deeper understanding of both basic and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for faculty, researchers and industry experts. It was held with the support of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The main contributions to FDP came from G Lakshmeeswari, Head of Computer Science Engineering, and K Naveen Kumar, Head of AI and Data Science.
Both highlighted the importance of faculty involvement in understanding and exploring the new frontiers of AI.
FDP coordinator M Rajamani shared that the programme focuses on technical training and encourages joint discussions on the current situation in sectors such as healthcare, education and manufacturing and the future direction of AI.
