The Election Commission fact-check video was posted by Congress on the X-handle for vote theft claims.
New Delhi: India's Election Commission (ECI) is conducting a fact-check of recent videos posted by Congress on alleged vote theft against polling agencies.
The Election Commission calls the video an artificially generated (AI), saying it is not real and describes the actions of the “magnificent party” as an attempt to mislead the state.
Congress posted a video on its previous Twitter X Handle to break into the upcoming campaign, “Voting Adhikar Yatra.”
But, upon confirming the facts, the election commission discovered some claims in the video, an 80-year-old woman says the votes were “stolen”, some claims in the video, 80 fake voters registered at his home address, others generated by AI, and an older man who says it's not realistic.
The polling agency said these attempts by the Congress party were intended to mislead the people of Bihar.
Congress and other opposition parties have protested against the election commission, citing several instances of replicating votes, claiming that central polling agencies are conspiring with the Centre to steal the election. However, many of these claims have so far been challenged or proven to fake through fact-checking.
The EC explains Congress's vote theft claims are virtually incorrect
Last Monday, the Election Commission called the allegations made by Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi during the protest march “effectively false.”
Apex's polling agency has issued a “fact check” on allegations made by the opposition India Bloc.
The EC shared a list of documents supporting the claims of transparency in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar election roles.
The evidence included video testimony from representatives of political parties such as the RJD, Congress and CPI.
Voting authorities also shared details of meetings with party representatives before and after publication of the draft election roll in Bihar, claiming they are committed to the highest transparency at the field level while they are doing sir exercises.
