AGRA: When a 17-year-old girl from Agra’s Fatehpur Sikri filmed her own “fake” suicide attempt and posted the video on social media to gain followers on Thursday, an alert was raised by Mehta’s artificial intelligence (AI) surveillance system and police rushed to her home.Police said the video showed the girl drinking liquid from the bottle and collapsing on camera. The AI ​​system flagged the content as a possible suicide attempt and immediately notified authorities.Following the alert, the social media cell phone alerted the local police, who tracked the location and reached the girl’s home in Fatehpur Sikri to find her safe. Officers found her unharmed and later confirmed the video was staged. She had only ingested water and no toxic substances.During interrogation, the girl admitted that she made the video solely to attract attention and increase her status on social media. Police counseled her and warned her against posting misleading content related to self-harm.“A 17-year-old girl created a fake video to increase her social media following,” Fatehpur Sikri police inspector Andanveer said on Friday.Officials said the girl is safe and in good health. While her family thanked the police for their quick response, authorities called on social media users, especially young people, not to spread false or disturbing content online for promotional purposes, warning that such actions could lead to legal action.
