AI SummitSK Group and NVIDIA today announced plans for a comprehensive partnership worth more than $500 billion to establish an AI infrastructure to meet the surge in global computing demand. Both sides signed a letter of intent to formally conclude an agreement that covers everything from the construction of an AI factory to the supply of AI memory.

NVIDIA Vera Rubin infrastructure and DSX platform power 2 gigawatt build
Today’s announcement builds on the decades-long technology partnership between SK Group and NVIDIA. recently announced SK Telecom plans to build a 2 GW AI cloud in South Korea.

In this cloud, Nvidia® DSX™ The first AI factory will be operational in 2027, powered by NVIDIA Vera Rubin accelerated computing powered by SK hynix HBM4.

It is built on the NVIDIA DSX full-stack AI Factory architecture and integrates NVIDIA accelerated compute, systems, software, and partner technologies to deliver the lowest token cost with maximum energy efficiency.

The two companies aim to accelerate the development of large-scale AI infrastructure, including sovereign AI, physical AI, agent AI, and enterprise AI services, and jointly address the growing demand for AI across the Asia-Pacific region, including South Korea.

Accelerating AI infrastructure at scale
The partnership between SK Telecom and NVIDIA will accelerate the deployment of AI infrastructure powered by NVIDIA and expand customer access to advanced cloud services. This partnership will enable SK Telecom to invest in and expand AI infrastructure at scale, while making capital-intensive AI infrastructure available to a wider range of customers.

Advances in next-generation AI memory
SK Hynix also has a long-term AI memory partnership with NVIDIA. As a follow-up measure to solidify our long-term technology partnership, this agreement will enable NVIDIA to ensure a stable supply of next-generation AI memory, while enabling SK Hynix to expand its growth platform.

The two companies will develop services ranging from large-scale language model training to agent AI, physics AI.

SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won said, “Competitiveness in the AI era depends not only on how effectively AI is used, but also on how much intelligence can be generated.” “By leveraging SK Hynix’s AI memory and SK Telecom’s AI infrastructure capabilities, SK will work with NVIDIA to build a world-class AI factory and help South Korea move beyond its role as a leading AI country and become a global hub for driving AI innovation.”

“South Korea has all the ingredients to become a global AI powerhouse, including world-class networks and data centers, leadership in chip technology, and massive industrial scale,” said Jensen Hwang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “We are working with SK Telecom and SK hynix to build a new generation of AI factories that will drive South Korea’s next wave of growth.”
