Shengshu Technology has introduced Vidar. This short for video spreading for action reasoning. Instead of relying solely on physical world data for infinite time, Vidar generates a synthetic training environment from just a few real videos. By blending real data with AI-generated videos, Vidar makes training more efficient, scalable and affordable.

How Vidar uses AI video to speed up robot training

Vidar works by separating perception from control. First, we'll learn from both real and synthetic videos using Shengshu's Vidu video models. Next, a task-independent system called any POS translates its knowledge into a robot's motor command. This modular setup allows for faster training and deployment on a wide range of robot types.

Unlike traditional methods where robots need to physically interact with the world and learn, Vidar can effectively simulate complex, realistic scenarios. Surprisingly, you need about 20 minutes of training data between 1/80 and 1/1200 of what the main models need. That efficiency allows robot training to be expanded to a level that has never been seen before.
