According to a Reuters report, Nvidia will launch a new artificial intelligence chip called “Rubin CPX” by the end of 2026. The chip is designed to manage complex, data-heavy features like “Vibe Coding” and AI-assisted code generation, known as video creation. It builds on the company's next-generation Rubin architecture, which takes over current Blackwell technology.
The processing requirements for such advanced AI systems are substantial. For example, to analyze an hour of video content, an AI model may be required to process up to 1 million tokens. To address this, Nvidia's new chip integrates multiple steps of a processing sequence that includes video decoding, encoding and inference into a single unit. The company said a $100 million investment in these new systems could generate $5 billion in token revenue. This development occurs because Wall Street is scrutinizing the returns of large investments in AI infrastructure.
