NVIDIA CEO wants to turn creative work into an ‘AI factory’

Even after reaching a $1 trillion market cap, NVIDIA’s momentum doesn’t seem to stop. Against the backdrop of its recent partnership with WPP, semiconductor manufacturing giant Jensen Huang recently spoke about how generative AI will “supercharge” creators.

In a chat with WPP CEO Mark Read at the Cannes Lion Festival, Huang delved even deeper into exactly how generative AI can change the way people work today. Huang said that AI models will not replace human creativity, but they will enhance the skills of creative professionals and enable them to meet more demands from clients.

NVIDIA’s recent deal with WPP, the world’s largest marketing and communications services company, perfectly illustrates this strategy.

Through this partnership, the two companies will develop a generative AI content engine that reduces friction in the various creative processes at WPP. The engine will also leverage Gen AI and NVIDIA’s Omniverse services to enable WPP to create digital twins of target products and scale ad production to new heights. Huang said:

“WPP will undoubtedly be an AI company. It will create an AI factory where the input is creativity, thoughts and prompts, and from there content is born.”

Even when talking about AI capabilities, Huang doesn’t want us to forget that humans are the most important piece of the puzzle. AI brings new levels of scalability to content generation. Huang foresees the ability for ads to be generated according to individual requirements, in line with brand identities, in a legally safe manner, rather than created.

While other companies such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney have come under fire for questioning the legitimacy of their generation, NVIDIA has stepped out on the safer side. NVIDIA Picasso’s set of underlying generative AI models are fully trained on licensed data. This makes the product safe to use for any company and frees both NVIDIA and its customers from legal issues.
