Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO says workers are more likely to be replaced by people who know how to use artificial intelligence than the technology itself jensen fan.

“Most people are unlikely to lose their jobs because of AI,” Hwang said on a panel at the Stanford Graduate School of Business last month, along with members of Congress. Ro Khanna (D-CA). “It is very likely that most people will lose their jobs to people who use AI.”

His remarks focused on the introduction of AI, changing workplace demands, and how companies are leveraging technology within their existing operations.

Why Huang says AI has made him “busier than ever”

Huang said during the discussion that AI can automate certain tasks while enabling companies to do more work. Using himself as an example, he pointed to two functions that AI can already perform: typing and speaking. Still, he said, it’s still “busier than ever.”

“The purpose of work and the tasks you perform at work are related, but they are not the same,” Huang says. In his view, automating tasks doesn’t necessarily eliminate jobs.

Mr. Huang says the winners in the AI era will be engineers.

Huang said during the panel discussion that AI agents are already becoming part of Nvidia’s software engineering workflow.

“Software engineers who know how to use AI and how to use agent systems are the most popular and the most successful,” he said.

According to Huang, before AI, engineers came up with an idea and spent their time coding it. He said AI has shortened that process, allowing the team to move on to the next idea more quickly.

According to Huang, agents continually look to engineers for direction and next steps during development work.

Career that AI was supposed to kill

Huang told the Stanford panel that radiology is an example of how AI is changing a profession without eliminating it.

“At the beginning of the AI revolution, one of the brightest and most influential computer scientists and one of the fathers of modern AI, AI, said Huang that the last job he would want to do in 10 years would be radiology.”

He said AI later became widely used in radiology and helped automate scan analysis. Huang said the hospital also hired more radiologists as each department processed a higher scan volume, treated more patients and generated more revenue.

Khanna, whose district includes much of Silicon Valley, said that even if AI creates more jobs over time, past technological changes have also created “eras of massive inequality” and job losses for vulnerable workers.

He said workers need ownership, bargaining rights and a share in productivity gains as companies adopt AI.

Huang encouraged employees to learn how to use AI tools as their adoption spreads across industries.

“AI is an amazing technology and everyone should know how to use it,” he said.

The widespread shift to AI adoption across industries has also increased interest in companies like RAD Intel, which operates an AI-driven marketing intelligence platform designed to help companies analyze audience behavior and improve the effectiveness of digital advertising strategies in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
