RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, June 11, 2026 (Globe Newswire) — King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH) will be hosting HLTH Europe in Amsterdam from June 15th to 18th. During our participation in 2026, we will focus on practical applications of artificial intelligence and show how this technology is moving from pilot projects to tools that support faster diagnosis, better resource utilization, stronger operational planning, and faster patient care.

Central to this effort is KFSH’s Healthcare Intelligence Center, which was established in 2019 to accelerate applied AI and digital health capabilities. The center has supported the development of 20 locally-powered AI applications across medical image analysis, patient flow management, resource optimization, and enhanced patient experience, helping to enhance treatment planning and predictive capabilities tailored to hospital and patient needs.

KFSH has also developed generative AI technology that analyzes patient records, clinical reports, hospital policies, and patient flow data. These tools summarize complex information and uncover relevant insights, allowing physicians and administrators to make more timely decisions, reduce administrative burden, and focus more directly on healthcare delivery.

Hospital patient flow and capacity command centers demonstrate how AI can have a measurable impact on operations. Leveraging demand forecasting, real-time monitoring and workflow analytics, the center has performed more than 170,000 interventions since opening in 2021, reducing average bed wait times from 32 hours to six hours and reducing emergency department wait times by 14%. It also helped ensure that 90% of beneficiaries of pharmacy and laboratory services received services within 15 minutes.

Through this practical AI model, KFSH will contribute to the global discussion on responsible AI, provider transformation, and scalable digital health models at HLTH Europe 2026.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital is ranked 1st in the Middle East and North Africa and 12th globally among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers in 2026, and is recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East according to Brand Finance 2026. It has also been selected as one of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026, World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2026, and World’s Best Specialized Hospitals. 2026.
