Meta has updated its generated AI video editing throughout the Meta AI app.
Available in more than 12 countries in the US, Australia and around the world, the update will give users the ability to edit short videos using a variety of preset AI prompts that allow users to change their outfits, locations and styles.
Inspired by the platform's Gen Models movie, this feature is a step towards bringing user AI video generation and editing across apps and products.
Meta says the AI video editing capabilities are intuitive and easy to use, creating high-quality video editing without video editing expertise.

The platform explained that when videos are uploaded to the Meta AI app, the Meta.ai website or the editing app, users can explore over 50 editing prompts and convert 10-second video for free in a limited time.
Meta AI can edit the video to match the preset prompt of your choice and share it directly to Facebook and Instagram or Discover feed.
The tech giant said the platform was built to be creative and accessible to share with friends, family and followers. We also worked with creators to understand which prompts appeal to our audiences, making it a seamless part of the creative process.

The launch of Meta Generation AI Video Editing has followed the creation of Make-A-Scene models, allowing for the creation of images, audio, video and 3D animations.
The platform also created Llama Image Foundation models, allowing for the generation of high-quality images and videos, as well as instruction-based images and videos.
Last year, Meta combined all these modalities to create the film Gen. This is a model that allows you to create custom videos and sounds and edit existing videos based on simple text input.
