AI, vendors are beginning to align around common standards for agent AI. This is a move that could significantly reduce vendor lock at vendors such as Anthropic, AWS, Google, Microsoft, and IBM.
The new Agent AI Foundation aims to establish a common protocol for how AI agents access data, share context, and perform actions across enterprise systems. This gives CIOs greater flexibility as agent deployments grow beyond the initial pilot.
According to a Computerworld article, Cloudflare says it has blocked more than 416 billion AI bot requests in the past six months as part of its efforts to stop content non-payments.
CEO Matthew Prince said AI represents a major platform change for the internet and criticized Google for integrating search and AI crawlers. He argues that publishers are being forced to choose between protecting their content and keeping it visible in search results.
Also from CSO online: Portugal has legalized certain security investigations, and the UK could follow suit with MPs who say outdated cybercrime laws prevent ethical hackers from reporting vulnerabilities. The new proposal would protect researchers who act responsibly. This strengthens a nation's cyber resilience without protecting against criminal activity.
