Meta released a new AI (AI) video editing feature on Wednesday. This feature allows users to edit short form videos using preset templates that allow users to change backgrounds, add new effects to subjects, and change people's clothing. Limited time is free, and AI-powered editing tools can be accessed through the Meta AI app, the Meta.ai website and the recently released editing app. These AI templates are currently being rolled out in certain countries, and the social media giant is expected to add more features later this year.
In a newsroom post, Tech Giant announced the launch of a new video editing feature. Interestingly, the feature is based on the same film Gen AI model that Instagram head Adam Mosseri teased on the reel last year. In the video, you can use text prompts to change a variety of elements, such as background, foreground, subject customization, and more.
Although the currently deployed AI-powered video editing tools will not accept text prompts, Meta said later this year that users can “use their text prompts to edit videos along with Meta AI to make them imagine video editing.”
Currently, this feature allows users to select and select from over 50 preset AI prompts. This makes the video appear to be filmed in the desert, add a tuxedo to a person, or make the video look like animated. In particular, users can only edit the first 10 seconds of the video with this feature.
Meta says the feature is rolled out in the Meta AI app, the Meta.ai website, and the US editorial app and “more than 12 countries around the world,” but Gadgets 360 staff members have yet to find it. India has not made clear whether the selected country has acquired this feature.
Those with access to this feature can share edited videos directly to Facebook and Instagram via Meta AI and the editing app. Alternatively, you can share it with discovery feeds on meta AI apps and websites.
