Paris, June 12, 2025 – Totalenergies and French company Mistral AI are unveiling a collaboration to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) innovations that support the company's multi-energy strategy, particularly in low carbon energy.

Shared AI Innovation Lab

Under the terms of the partnership, a joint innovation lab will be set up and teams from both companies will be deployed. Mistral AI contributes to AI technology, and the perfect call contributes to the expertise in the production of energy, particularly renewable low carbon energy, to test and design advanced digital solutions. Totalenergies and AI, the main pillars of its technical ambitions

The transaction reflects Totalenergies' decision to leverage digital technology and artificial intelligence to improve performance in industrial facilities and support migration.

In the past, Totalenergies have mainly used artificial intelligence in geoscience to improve prediction maintenance and detect machinery issues at its facilities. AI is currently playing a key role for the company, helping to develop new opportunities, particularly in the production of renewable energy, reduce CO2 emissions, and develop innovative services that allow customers to control and optimize energy use.

Totalenergies' digital factory, which marks its fifth anniversary this year, has 300 developers, data scientists and other digital experts already developing over 100 solutions, of which 60 are developing harness technology ranging from machine learning to generating AI.
