On Friday, Delhi BJP workers filed a police complaint seeking registration of the case against the Congress and its leaders. The leader of the Bihar Congress has posted an AI-generated video to X, showing similar characters in a large political column that resembles Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother Heeraben.
The complaint filed by BJP worker Sanket Gupta at the North Avenue Police Station in Delhi alleged that the AI-generated video had violated the Prime Minister and his late mother, violating the laws of women, moral standards and the dignity of women, senior police officers in Delhi are aware of the issue and are said to have not registered the FIR earlier.
The 36-second clip marked “MAA appears in Sahab's Dreams,” is widely shared online, sparking a sharp response from the BJP and its allies, calling it “shameful” and circling around with Modi around targets.
“This is the level where Congress party took to make a meme about our Prime Minister's late mother, and there are such cheap standards too. How low is Congress? … That's shameful… we make it a very big issue across the country.”
JD (U) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha called the post “very despicable” and said that by this, the party has proven that throwing Modi's late mother from Darbhanga's platform is part of a “well-thinking strategy.”
The Union Minister and Chief of LJP (Ram Vilas) Chirag Paswan said: “The Congress Party has not withheld that attitude. The continued humiliation of the Prime Minister's late mother is highly condemned and sad.
However, the Congress argued that there was no rudeness to the Prime Minister or his mother. “What are their objections? Where is this because mothers are trying to educate their sons to do something right? This is not rude to the mothers we truly respect.”
