Medihelp announces applications for the 2026 Marketing AI Content Creator Internship, offering young South African creators the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, AI-assisted content creation and multimedia storytelling.
The one-year full-time internship is designed to support emerging talent interested in the growing intersection between artificial intelligence, visual communications, and digital marketing. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R10,000 for the duration of the program.
Medihelp said the internship is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to develop future-ready professionals in the marketing and communications field. Selected interns will join the company’s marketing and communications portfolio and contribute to a variety of creative and digital campaigns.
Internship focus areas
The Marketing AI Content Creator intern will help create AI-generated multimedia marketing content across a variety of platforms. Responsibilities include creating AI-assisted images, videos, and design assets using platforms such as Adobe Firefly, Runway, Canva, and related tools.
Successful applicants will also support video production projects such as filming explainer videos, product campaigns, social media clips, and promotional content. Other duties include multimedia editing, adapting content to various digital channels, and helping improve marketing workflows through experimentation with emerging AI technologies.
Medihelp said the role is ideal for a creative person with a passion for innovation, storytelling and digital communication trends. This internship will also give you hands-on experience with the latest content creation strategies that are increasingly being used in the marketing industry.
Required skills and qualifications
Applicants must hold a grade 12 certificate and have qualifications in digital marketing, multimedia, AI content creation, visual communications, or a related field.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate skills in AI prompting, AI-assisted content creation, videography, and editing. Strong visual storytelling abilities, creative intuition, and an understanding of digital campaign formats are considered essential for this position.
Additionally, Medihelp seeks applicants with excellent English communication skills and the ability to work proactively in a team environment. The organization emphasized the importance of curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to quickly learn and test new ideas.
Priority will be given to unemployed South African citizens. Current Medihelp employees are not eligible to apply.
