LG CNS announced on Thursday that it is accelerating its artificial intelligence (AI) transformation (AX) by partnering with SAP to integrate artificial intelligence into its enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
The company announced on Wednesday that it co-hosted the Business AI for ERP Summit in Seoul, where it unveiled its next-generation ERP transformation strategy based on SAP Business AI. The event was attended by approximately 200 people from the manufacturing, logistics, retail and communications industries.
SAP Business AI embeds AI into ERP systems that manage finance, procurement, production, and supply chain, enabling automation of repetitive tasks and supporting data-driven decision-making. This technology enables AI to handle routine tasks traditionally performed by employees and quickly provide insights for business decision-making.
LG CNS said it is strengthening its technological capabilities through cooperation with SAP to gain an early foothold in the AI-based ERP market. The company has been working with SAP’s Asia Pacific division to train specialists since last year, and launched a dedicated ERP AX business unit earlier this year.
The company is also applying advanced technologies, including agent AI, under its “AX on ERP” strategy to enhance workflow automation, improve efficiency, and accelerate business process innovation.
At the event, the company shared a practical approach to generate tangible results from AI-integrated ERP systems.
Nae Han-shin, head of enterprise solutions at LG CNS, said AI should be embedded as an organization’s operating system rather than being used as a standalone tool.
“Beyond adoption, enterprises will need to fundamentally redesign their workflows around AI agents,” he said.
