Pune (Maharashtra) [India]May 18: As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes industries, education choices are increasingly driven by the relevance of technology to future employability. For students looking to build a career at the intersection of technology, business and innovation, the application period for 2026 admissions at the Symbiotic Artificial Intelligence Institute (SAII) in Pune is in its final stages. The institute announced that applications for the 2026 batch will close on May 18, 2026, marking the last opportunity for eligible students to apply during this admission cycle.
After the application deadline of May 18, 2026, final candidates will be announced on May 23, followed by personal exchange slot reservations and interviews in early June. The academic session is scheduled to begin in July 2026.
Founded as a professional institute specializing in artificial intelligence under Symbiosis International (Deemed University), SAII is designed to prepare students for a future where AI literacy, computational thinking, and interdisciplinary problem-solving are expected to become fundamental professional skills. The Institute was established to create a professional academic ecosystem centered around AI education, research, and industry relevance.
For the 2026 academic year, SAII is offering two flagship undergraduate programs.
* Bachelor of Science (Artificial Intelligence) – Honors / Research Achievements
* BBA (Artificial Intelligence) – Honors Student / Excellent Research Achievement

These four-year programs are structured around the National Education Policy (NEP) framework and aim to combine disciplinary knowledge with emerging AI capabilities. During the bachelor’s degree, the program focuses on the technical and computational foundations of artificial intelligence, and the BBA program is designed to integrate business understanding with AI-driven decision-making and digital transformation.
The program focuses on areas such as machine learning, data analysis, programming, interdisciplinary applications of AI, project-based learning, industry mentorship, internships, and research experiences. Students will also be introduced to specialization pathways across areas such as financial technology, marketing technology, global supply chain systems, media and creative industries, cybersecurity, and data science.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed Class XII (10+2) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. On the other hand, candidates from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories are required to score a minimum of 45%. The program is open to students from all academic disciplines, including science, commerce, and the arts.
Alongside academic learning, SAII aims to build strong industry readiness through internships, placement support, and exposure to entrepreneurship. BSc (Artificial Intelligence) graduates have the potential to explore new roles such as AI Analyst, Data Scientist, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Medical Technologist, while BBA (Artificial Intelligence) graduates can pursue opportunities across areas such as Fintech, Marketing Technology, Human Resources Analytics, and Operations Strategy. Students will also receive placement support through the institute’s dedicated placement cell and industry collaborations across sectors such as technology, fintech, healthcare, media, agri-industry, cybersecurity and sports technology. Internships are typically introduced in the third year and range from short summer experiences to semester-long industry activities. SAII will begin operations in 2025 and its first batch has not yet graduated, so placement performance and salary packages will evolve based on industry demand, market conditions, and student performance. The Institute remains focused on building long-term industry partnerships to enhance career opportunities for future graduates.
As AI adoption accelerates across sectors such as finance, healthcare, retail, media, logistics, consulting, and governance, there are still relatively few educational institutions in India that focus solely on artificial intelligence education. SAII positions itself as a professional destination for students seeking early exposure to the technologies, systems, and problem-solving frameworks that will shape the next decade of work.
Students interested in applying for the 2026 batch can complete the registration process through the institute’s official website before the May 18 deadline.
