York Yue, Huawei Vice President and CEO of Huawei ISP Computing and Network Infrastructure Division

“Currently, the ISP industry is facing multiple challenges, including rising ONT costs, fluctuations in optical cable prices, fierce competition from fixed and mobile convergence, and broadband penetration approaching saturation,” York Yue, Huawei vice president and CEO of Huawei’s ISP Computing and Network Infrastructure BU, said in a speech. “In this new market environment, ISPs need to proactively respond to change by adjusting their procurement strategies, innovating their network construction models, and optimizing their business structures. This will allow them to identify new growth opportunities and develop sustainably.”

Gavin Chen, Vice President of Huawei ISP Computing and Network Infrastructure Division

Gavin Chen, vice president of Huawei’s ISP computing and network infrastructure division, further elaborated that Huawei has launched an ISP network architecture designed for the AI era. The solution leverages technologies such as XGS-PON, FTTR, ASON, and OXC and tightly integrates with AI cloud data centers (DCs) to power scenarios such as home healthcare, smart home, and intelligent operations and maintenance (O&M) to accelerate intelligent service transformation.

Mr. Rodrigo Schuff, Chairman of the Board of the NEO Association

Rodrigo Schuch, Executive Chairman of the Brazilian NEO Association, shared his insights on local ISP development trends and noted the association’s commitment to the development of Brazil’s telecommunications industry. Shawn Xiao, Huawei NCE Vice President of Optical Network Domain

Sean Xiao, vice president of Huawei’s NCE optical network domain, talked about how digitalization can help ISPs improve operational efficiency and discover new business opportunities. He pointed out that Huawei has built FAN Agentic Engine, an intelligent agent for home broadband O&M, to proactively address problems before user complaints occur. This marks a shift from user-driven, reactive to agent-driven, proactive operations, improving user experience while reducing O&M costs. Huawei also announced Transmission Agentic Engine, an intelligent agent for transmission O&M that optimizes networks before failures occur. This drives O&M transformation from failure-driven to proactive, improving network resiliency and reducing the risk of service disruption.
