Iranian AI video depicts attack on US aircraft carrier group – Video

A channel affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) circulated an AI-generated propaganda video depicting the destruction of a US Navy aircraft carrier group in the Middle East.

The two-and-a-half minute video depicts a coordinated, multi-pronged attack on the USS Abraham Lincoln and its carrier strike group in the Arabian Sea, News.Az reported, citing the Daily Mail.

Styled like a video game, the simulation begins with an American warship sailing through dark waters before Iranian aircraft appear overhead.

The footage then cuts to Iranian military commanders monitoring a radar screen, followed by an animated sequence showing missiles being launched from Iran’s coastline. It depicts drones, fast attack craft, and submarines converging on a U.S. aircraft carrier, ultimately simulating its destruction.

Video shows American personnel fleeing as an explosion engulfs the aircraft carrier, and Iranian troops celebrating the operation amid plumes of smoke and flames.

Analysts described the release as an act of psychological warfare aimed at multiple audiences, including U.S. Navy officials, allies in the Gulf region, and domestic viewers. The timing suggests that the Iranian government is signaling its refusal to negotiate under military pressure.

Public reaction has been mixed. Some observers dismissed the video as Revolutionary Guards propaganda, noting that it surfaced during ongoing indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States in Oman. Some interpreted it as a calculated warning that direct confrontation could escalate into wider regional conflict.

The release of the video coincides with reports of increased US naval activity in the region and follows a recent incident in which a US F-35 reportedly shot down an Iranian drone near the USS Abraham Lincoln. It also comes as US President Donald Trump continues to threaten military action against Iran in the wake of the unrest in the country, and the Iranian president’s recent apology for the deadly crackdown on protesters.
