New Delhi: India has launched a new national AI learning program that aims to make basic artificial intelligence skills accessible to everyone. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has rolled out a free course called YUVA AI for ALL under the IndiaAI Mission. The idea is simple. Give all citizens the opportunity to learn what AI is, how it works, and how to use it safely. The timing feels right because we often meet people who use AI apps every day but are still unsure about how these systems actually work.
The government says the goal is to train 1 billion people with basic AI skills. Although this is a huge number, the course is designed in a short and friendly format. At 4.5 hours, it looks more like an introductory book that can be completed at home over the weekend than a rich academic program.
Free national course on AI for all Indians
YUVA AI for ALL is positioned as India’s first free AI literacy course for the general public. Available on FutureSkills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi and other edtech platforms. All graduates will receive an official certificate from the Government of India. The course is “short, simple, practical and free” and aims to help students, professionals and curious learners understand the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, the ministry said.
