ChatGPT turned out to be one of the most installed platforms in the US App Store and did so for several weeks. Soon we saw it being dethroned and replaced with HBO Max’s famous rebrand.
Instagram topped the June 2023 list and was the most downloaded app worldwide. Thanks to App Intelligence for showing a whopping 48 million installs while TikTok was locked out of countries like India. This may be why Instagram saw his installation numbers soar in June.
Rounding out the top five are Facebook, then WhatsApp, and then Capcut. Tech giant Meta clearly dominates the list, and then we also see Messenger coming in at number 10 for him. It’s clear that Meta offers more benefits than other companies on the list.
The question here is where the well-known AI-based tool ChatGPT sits on this list. Combining both the App Store and Google Play Store results, we ranked 4th in the App Store.
It used to be in the same position as Google, but estimates in a new report show it added nearly 8 million more installs in June.
The reason is simple. ChatGPT has been released for iOS, but after two months it’s still only available on the App Store and nowhere else.
According to the latest stats, the world’s most installed application received a staggering 283 million new installs in June both through the app and the Google Play store.
This number is a few million less than we saw in May, but remember we’re on vacation. It’s clear that people want to stay away from smart devices, so don’t worry too much.
