New Delhi: Google has launched VEO 3, an advanced AI video generation tool, in India through the Gemini AI app.
Announced in May at Google I/O 2025, the feature allows subscribers to create optical aeristic videos using synced audio, including synthesized audio, background music, and sound effects, using simple text or image prompts.
The deployment places India among the 159 countries currently accessing VEO 3.
VEO 3 feature available only for Google AI Pro subscribers allows users to generate up to three 720p resolution videos per day via the Gemini app.
The AI Pro subscription also includes access to other premium features, including the AI Film Making App Flow, NoteBookLM Plus, Gemini integration into Google Workspace apps, and 2TB of cloud storage.
Once the daily limit is reached, users can continue to create videos using the previous model VEO 2, which has fewer features.
VEO 3 stands out for its native audio generation. This sets it apart from competitors such as Openai's SORA and startups such as Pika and Runway.
To ensure responsible use, Google has implemented safety measures. All VEO 3-generation videos feature an invisible synthid watermark, identifies them as created by AI to address concerns about potential misuse.
