Meta has deployed a new generation AI video editing feature called “Restyle” on three platforms, including Instagram editing.
It is available on the editing app released earlier this year, as well as on the Meta AI app and the Meta.ai website. This tool allows for fantastic video changes made possible by artificial intelligence technology.
The tool is designed for short videos and allows users to convert scenes and subjects using a set of AI prompts that allow users to change people's outfits, locations, styles, and more. It is currently available in the US and dozens of other countries.
Presets are similar to selecting filters on Instagram, and options include video restyling, making them look like video games, comic books, or anime. There is also the option to turn the location into scenes like desert, beaches, or snow.
“Our new AI video editing capabilities are intuitive and easy to use, so anyone can do high-quality video editing without video editing expertise. First, you can upload your video to a meta AI app, meta. AI website, or editing app. You can then explore over 50 editing prompts and use it to convert 10 seconds of your video for free.
Videos created with edits or meta AI apps can be shared directly on Facebook or Instagram. There is also a “discovery” feed on Meta's AI platform, which allows you to share videos.
“We can build this feature and create fun and interesting videos for everyone to experiment creatively and share with friends, family and followers. Whether you're rethinking memories of your favorite family or finding new ways to entertain your audience, the video editing feature helps,” adds Meta.
Engadget Note that the new AI video editor is the first fruit in Meta's film Gen Technology, which allows you to edit non-AAI videos.
Instagram head Adam Mosseri says the technology will reach the platform “over time.”
