Duck Creek launches insurance-native agent AI platform, underwriting and claims applications

Applications of AI

Duck Creek started Duck Creek’s insurance-native Agentic AI platformis a purpose-built platform that enables insurers to deploy, orchestrate, and manage AI agents across the insurance lifecycle. The company also announced two new agent experiences designed to improve speed, accuracy and results in critical property and casualty workflows: Agentic Underwriting Workbench and Agentic First Notice of Loss (FNOL).

“Agentic AI is redefining how insurance operates, enabling insurers to move from manual, fragmented processes to coordinated, end-to-end decision-making and support, driving better outcomes and continuous improvement,” he said. Hardeep GulatiCEO of Duck Creek. “Our agent platform combines our leadership in core systems, our unique insurance domain ontology and expertise, and agent AI Using neurosymbolic reasoning to create agents that operate with full context, governance, traceability, and humans in the loop, carriers can scale AI with confidence and trust. ”

Duck Creek Agent AI Platform

Duck Creek Technologies has introduced its Agentic AI platform, designed to integrate core insurance data, domain models, and AI inference into workflows. The platform enables AI agents to operate within existing carrier systems and use a combination of deterministic and probabilistic logic to deliver optimized and compliant outcomes.

Platforms built on a layered architecture include:

  • agent intelligence – Insurance-native Model Context Repository (MCR) powered by fine-tuned generative AI and machine learning models
  • agent orchestration – An integration layer to design, deploy, and tune AI agents across all insurance use cases, combining automation with autonomous, human-involved execution.
  • AI guarantee – Built-in governance and guardrails for decision traceability, auditability, observability, compliance management, and cybersecurity
  • AI gateway – An open ecosystem framework with marketplaces, registries, and standardized protocols (including MCP and A2A) to integrate agents built by Duck Creek, partners, and customers.
  • Clarity Data Foundation and core systemsintegration – Native integration with Duck Creek’s system of record provides real-time access to policy, claims, billing, and risk data and configurations. This system can also be integrated with other core systems.

agent application

Duck Creek also introduced two agent applications for underwriting and claims.

  • Agentic Underwriting Workbench automates submission capture, prioritization, and data enrichment to accelerate quote processing and improve risk selection.
  • Agentic First Notice of Loss (FNOL) AI-driven verification Channel routing improves data accuracy and reduces processing time.

FNOL solutions developed on Google Cloud also enable early detection of fraud and faster claims processing.
