New Delhi: Delhi police on Saturday registered the FIR in an AI-generated video posted by the Bihar Congress unit on X-handle, which allegedly damaged the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, police said.
Sanket Gupta, the convener of the BJP Delhi election cell, claimed in his complaint on Friday that the video “had aggravated the image of the Prime Minister and seriously violated the law, morality and the dignity of women.” According to the complaint, the clip was posted on September 10th on the official X-handle of the Bihar force of the Indian National Congress.
This case is registered against unknown persons under sections 336 (forged), 340 (2) (forged documents or electronic records, and using them as authentic), 352 (intentional insults with intent to promote a violation of peace), 356 (2) (defamation), and 61 (2) (intentional insults to promote criminal conspiracy).
The video generated by Modi's late mother's AI was shared, “PM is seen dreaming of his late mother criticizing him for his politics in Bihar, bound by the vote.” The BJP and its allies called it “shameful” in Congress over the video, wondering how low the opposition would be to target Modi.
The 36-second video in which the caption “Ma” appeared in Sahab's dream on September 10th shows communication with his mother's son in the latter dream. The BJP denounced the video for legal action, claiming that the Congress has not been underestimated.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh said, “Rahul Gandhi is bent down very low. Can he respect other people's mothers because he disrespects his own mother?
The Congress has argued that there has not been any rudeness to the Prime Minister or his mother. “What are their objections? Where is this because mothers are trying to educate their sons to do something right? This is neither rude to the mothers we truly respect.”
