Google on Thursday announced Workspace Studio, designed to let users create, manage, and share AI agents to automate tasks within their workspaces.
With Studio, you can build customized agents by simply writing what you want to automate. For example, you can ask someone to create an agent that notifies you whenever you receive an email containing a specific keyword. Gemini then takes over and creates the agent you’re looking for. This allows you to create agents without any coding knowledge.
The agents you create integrate across the various tools you use in your daily work, even third-party apps. For example, agents work using Asana, Jira, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and more. You can also have other members of your team copy the agents you’ve collected if it’s particularly useful.
Google plans to release several new features soon, including improved external sharing, the ability to send email outside of your primary domain, and comprehensive webhook support. Additionally, the tech giant is offering users promotional access to increase usage limits for Workspace Studio. Further information regarding these usage restrictions will be announced in January 2026.
Workspace Studio is the ideal platform for business, enterprise, or education users. Also available to users who subscribe to Google AI Pro for Education or Google AI Ultra for Business. However, users with personal Google Accounts cannot access Workspace Studio.
