Bitmovin, a provider of video streaming solutions, announced the launch of the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub, which brings together Bitmovin’s products to provide agent AI services for workflow automation and enhanced experiences for viewers.
Agentic AI Hub deploys Bitmovin’s Observability MCP server and three agent solutions: Vertical Short Form Clipping, Voice Operated Seeking, and Summarization Companion. All of these solutions are powered by AI agents that operate using AI-generated analysis from Bitmovin’s AI scene analysis and agent tools from other products such as Bitmovin’s VOD encoding and Bitmovin’s player.
The Vertical Short Form Clipping solution allows video providers to automatically generate large short form clips using natural language prompts, detect highlights, reframe for vertical screens, and preserve the main action with thematically conscious cropping. The clips are then processed by Bitmovin’s VOD encoder before they are ready for distribution. VOD encoders are optimized for quick turnaround and short-form use cases. This gives video providers the ability to reach and engage with viewers across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, and drive viewers to long-form content.
Voice Interaction Seek allows video providers to use scene-level information extracted through AI scene analysis to enable viewers to interact with and search video content in a natural way using voice. Rather than searching the timeline in Bitmovin’s player, viewers can use voice commands to jump to moments with simple prompts like “Play car chase scene.”
Summarization Companion builds on the AI scene analysis search tools used in previous solutions and enables streaming services to offer viewers the ability to request on-demand summaries and catch-ups. This feature allows viewers to ask what they missed or learn more about a character with a simple verbal audio request, without leaving the stream. Both the Voice Operated Seeking and Summarization Companion solutions improve the viewing experience by giving your audience a natural way to interact with your content, and add value by allowing them to get more out of your content.
