Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has introduced a B2B marketplace to help enterprise customers discover and deploy software built on the company’s Claude family of AI models.
The move expands the company’s strategy beyond basic AI models to a broader application ecosystem. The company’s new Claude Marketplace allows businesses to browse and purchase third-party software tools built on Anthropic’s AI technology and deploy them using existing Claude subscriptions and business spending commitments.
The platform debuted in limited preview and initially featured applications from partners such as Snowflake, GitLab, Harvey AI, Replit, Rogo, and Lovable. These tools span areas such as software development, data analysis, and enterprise automation.
About the B2B role of Anthropic Claude Marketplace
Anthropic said Claude Marketplace aims to simplify sourcing for B2B organizations deploying generative AI by consolidating software discovery, purchase, and deployment into a single platform.
Unlike many software marketplaces, Anthropic said it does not currently plan to take fees on transactions completed through its marketplace.
Instead, the company is positioning the platform as a distribution channel for developers building applications based on its AI models.
The move reflects broader changes in the AI field, as model providers aim to build ecosystems around their technology. Companies like OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft are also expanding their marketplaces, plugin systems, and partner networks to enable developers to build commercial applications on top of their AI platforms.
Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI researchers, including CEO Dario Amodei, Anthropic develops the Claude series of large-scale language models (LLMs) used for tasks such as coding, research, and enterprise automation. The company has received billions of dollars in investments from major technology companies including Amazon and Google.
By introducing Claude Marketplace, Anthropic aims to position its platform not only as an AI model provider, but also as a distribution channel for enterprise software built on generative AI.
