Akta brings AI-first cloud video workflows to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – Sports Video Group

AI Video & Visuals

Akta, an AI-first SaaS video platform for modern broadcast and streaming operations, today announced that its video platform is now generally available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Akta will introduce its new OCI deployment at StreamTV Show 2026, June 16-19 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

The availability of Akta in OCI gives media organizations a new way to modernize their video infrastructure without piecing together separate tools, cloud environments, or workflow systems. Broadcasters can now ingest and route channels through Akta Media Gateway, ingest and distribute live streams, and manage live video workflows from ingest to routing to live channel management with OCI.

As major media companies build live playouts on the cloud, there is a growing need to deliver live channels directly from the cloud using low-latency transports such as SRT. Broadcasters are under pressure to offer more channels, more formats, and a more personalized viewing experience without increasing operational complexity.

“Akta’s cloud-native tools allow media companies to build and deploy live channel production without relying on on-premises infrastructure. However, traditional cloud providers have priced direct output so high that it is not economical to move the entire live distribution to the cloud.” Alper Turgut, Chairman of Akta. “Unlike other cloud platforms, Oracle Cloud is built and priced for efficient networking. Not only is egress performance high and seamless, it’s priced to natively produce, assemble, and deliver live channels directly from the cloud.”

“Media companies are looking for cloud infrastructure that delivers both performance and predictable economics,” he said. Kip Schauer, Oracle Senior Product Manager, Media Partnerships. “OCI offers predictable and globally consistent pricing, delivering up to 50-80% savings across compute, storage, and networking compared to other leading cloud providers.” (Oracle Cloud Economics 2025)

Akta on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides media companies with powerful new deployment options for running AI-First video workflows in the cloud, from posting, channel assembly, and live playout to routing and distribution.

Akta’s AI-First platform is designed to consolidate key components of video operations into a single SaaS environment. Rather than relying on disconnected systems for ingest, playout, workflow automation, clipping, metadata, captioning, scheduling, and social video production, broadcasters can use Akta to help teams manage more of the video lifecycle from one intelligent platform.

Akta will meet with broadcasters, streaming platforms, content owners and technology partners during StreamTV Show 2026. Attendees can learn more about Akta’s OCI availability, cloud gateways, vertical video capabilities, and AI-first SaaS video platform by visiting AKTA booth #412 or by scheduling a meeting.
