Concrete solutions provider Ajax Engineering on Tuesday launched its artificial intelligence (AI) platform, Concrete GPT. The AI chatbot targets concrete industry professionals and acts as a knowledge-sharing space to share innovations, market insights, and regulatory updates. The company claims that over one million professionals in India will benefit from this AI tool. The AI platform can be accessed without signing up. However, accessing Concrete GPT with an Ajax ID gives users additional privileges.
Ajax Engineering Launches Concrete GPT
Ajax Engineering said in a press release that the AI platform is powered by OpenAI's GPT-4 large-scale language model and Perplexity AI's engine. The platform is designed in a typical chatbot style, where users can enter queries and prompts via text, voice, or WhatsApp chat. The chatbot supports text and voice interactions in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, and Kannada. The company said the platform has been developed with support for multiple regional Indian languages, benefiting those who cannot speak or write English.
Despite being powered by the Perplexity engine, Concrete GPT does not have access to the internet. Knowledge limit is until March 2024. Trained on global construction standards and the latest trends in the concrete and construction industry.
The company cited some use cases for the chatbot, saying it can be used to get technical support, actionable maintenance tips to optimize machine performance, and adherence to safety guidelines. The chatbot will also provide information from various research sources to assist industry experts and veterans.
The Concrete GPT platform is similar to ChatGPT but has a different design. The website opens directly to the chatbot with a text field at the bottom and a chat window taking up a large amount of space in the middle. On the far left, there are some Ajax-related prompts that users can tap on to learn more about the company. On the bottom left, there is a WhatsApp icon that opens a QR code that, when scanned, allows you to talk to the chatbot directly in the instant messaging app.
