Fact check: During the rainy season, the video has gone viral on social media amidst the flooding disruption in several parts of the country. There, a female reporter can be seen falling into a drain in a flooded street. The person is claimed to be a journalist from Shivpuri who was injured while covering flash floods.
Vishvas News investigated the claims of the virus and discovered that AI was generated. A Shivpuri journalist who is being impersonated as a video has rebutted the claim.

investigation
I carefully checked the video to confirm the virus claim and noticed some anomalies. For example, the eyes of a female reporter do not look natural. In the final part of the clip, her eyelids are not flashing, and her eyes look bigger. The reporter's clothes are not dripping, despite her falling into the water. This led to doubting the reliability of the video.
When searching for the original version of this clip, the original clip was found in the profile of Instagram user Bhairalbillu, which was uploaded on July 5, 2025.
However, this post does not provide any information about the video. In the comments section, some users claim it is authentic, while others call it a fake. The account shares several similar videos that are believed to be digitally created. Instagram Bio credits user Viral_bisht as the creator of these videos.
A video was posted on July 10th, 2025 to this profile tagged with Instagram user viral_bisht. It was said that the video is being generated by AI. Bisht posted another video to his Instagram account showing how he creates these videos.
We have contacted Instagram user Viral_bisht, namely Mayank Bisht. This confirmed that this is his “original video”.
I captured keyframes from the video and checked them using the AI image detection tool Wasitai. This indicates the possibility that AI will be generated.
We also contacted our partner DeepFakes Analysis Unit (DAU) to investigate the video. According to their analysis, the reporter's eyes appear to bulge unnaturally, and her eyelids disappear temporarily as she begins to fall, making her look unnatural. Furthermore, when the video appears in slow motion, her fingers appear to be stuck together.
Finally, I spoke with Manika Sharma, a journalist at Shivpuri. Manika Sharma confirmed that the viral video is not her. She said she was injured after falling into the house recently. This video was shared to laugh at her injuries.
We scanned profiles of users who shared the video generated to AI and discovered that they had 14,000 followers.
Conclusion: The video is generated by AI showing a female television journalist falling into a flooded street during a report. Users believe it is authentic and share it. It has nothing to do with either Shivpuri or Delhi.
