Channel-wide integration is often driven by the need to quickly add expertise. This appears to be the main motivation for Advania's move towards the AI framework.
Artificial intelligence (AI) controls the conversations of customers and is seen as an important area where channels can demonstrate leadership and knowledge. Advania concludes with AI consultants, contrary to that background, it has established a reputation for helping customers transform their businesses.
Founded by Swedish tech thought leader and acclaimed AI expert Errol Norlum, the company has built a customer base for retail, telecom, finance and enterprise users looking to integrate AI into their digital transformation efforts.
“This acquisition is perfectly in line with the philosophy that successful AI transformation starts with strategy rather than tools,” says Henrik Foyn-Laukvik, head of M&A at Advania. “The proven capabilities of the AI framework will make it an ideal partner for clients looking to adopt responsible AI with measurable results, from initial strategies to expanded implementations to extended implementations with constant business value.”
The addition of an AI framework strengthens Advania's ambition to become a major source of AI expertise in Northern Europe.
“We're building something unprecedented in Northern Europe. It's a true AI-centric IT services company that combines infrastructure sovereignty with comprehensive advisory and implementation capabilities,” says Hege Störe, CEO of Advania. “Our vision is to act as a unified interface for customers to access and manage multiple AI services, models, tools and platforms. And, as always, we do that in the Advania way. It brings a deep commitment to our employees, clients and our community.”
Acquisition of the AI Framework provides ADVANIA with the ability to provide AI consultancy services, subscription-based options and compliance support, as its details are not disclosed. There is also an AI Academy that offers workshops and programs to help skill-up staff.
Support your business goals
Norlum said he thought that AI should support business goals rather than ending on its own, and partnering with Advania will allow him to communicate that message to more customers.
“By joining Advania, we can expand this impact while maintaining our commitment to strategic, value-driven AI implementation. Together, we can help more organizations navigate AI transformation with confidence and purpose,” he said.
Advania is not used to using M&A as a route to deepen its expertise and expand its geographic reach. Over the past few years, the company has used its approach to establish a strong foothold in the UK.
Past fiscal years have included M&A activities to strengthen the company's UK position, including CCS Media and Servium transactions, which have helped its revenue management rate exceed £450 million.
CCS Media has donated more than £273 million in revenue, adding even more depth to Advania's ability to provide infrastructure, cloud conversion, AI and managed services. Although numbers were not shared from Servium's impact, IT's procurement optimization and asset management expertise helped companies gain fresh business.
Advania UK CEO Geoff Kneen said the acquisition of the AI framework will have a positive impact on operations here. “Acquiring the AI framework is a bold step in Advania's mission to lead AI not only in Scandinavia, but also in the UK and the wider Europe. This transaction provides proven strategic AI expertise that can be brought to our clients.
“AI frameworks have a clear track record of providing AI that works in the real world by being measurable, responsible, and business-driven,” he added. “We are excited to combine their deep capabilities with their own AI, cloud and infrastructure services to hype and impact the UK organizations of faster routes to AI conversion and all impact.”
