This partnership aims to enable scalable and consistent biomarker quantification through computational pathology tools to enhance cancer research workflows around the world.
Expanding market-defining computational pathology ecosystem
Building on the market-defining computational pathology partnership between Leica Biosystems and Indica Labs, this new collaboration integrates Lunit’s advanced AI capabilities into a best-in-class IHC staining and digital pathology ecosystem. The first product from this three-way collaboration is the AI-powered Lunit SCOPE algorithm designed specifically for Leica Biosystems’ PD-L1 primary antibody (CAL10).
Address variability in biomarker scoring using AI
Leica Biosystems, Indica Labs, and Lunit are working together to support pharmaceutical partners in integrating AI-powered digital pathology into routine clinical research. Biomarker scores for PD-L1 and other IHC biomarkers remain highly variable because disease assessment and treatment decisions often rely on manual assessment of stained tissue under the microscope. This manual process can be time-consuming and subject to human variation.
Combining Leica Biosystems’ expertise in IHC staining and digital pathology, Indica Labs’ image management platform, and Lunit’s advanced AI analysis, this collaboration is designed to support a consistent scoring approach, enable robust biomarker analysis, and accelerate workflows in oncology research.
Seamless digital pathology workflow powered by AI
The partnership integrates Leica Biosystems’ PD-L1 IHC assay platform¹, Aperio GT 450 digital pathology scanner¹ and Aperio HALO AP.® Enable a seamless AI-powered pathology workflow with our image management solution¹ and Lunit SCOPE biomarker scoring algorithm¹.
