The company has raised US$1.03 billion (approximately €890 million), based on a pre-funding valuation of US$3.5 billion (approximately €3 billion), to support long-term research, global employment, and the development of reliable intelligent systems that learn abstract representations of the real world.
This round brings together leading global investment firms and strategic partners aligned with AMI’s long-term scientific and industrial ambitions.

Artificial intelligence has made significant advances over the past decade. Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI) is building a new kind of AI system that understands the world, has persistent memory, can reason and plan, and is controllable and secure. The company has been active globally since its inception, with operations in Paris, New York, Montreal and Singapore.
The co-founders bring together world-leading scientific expertise and proven company-building experience. AMI is chaired by Yann LeCun, a Turing Award winner and pioneer of modern AI, and includes CEO Alexandre LeBrun, a serial AI entrepreneur, Chief Scientific Officer Saining Xie, a leading researcher in visual representation learning, Chief Research and Innovation Officer Pascale Fung, a pioneer in human-centered AI, and Michael Rabbat, Vice President of World Models, a leading researcher in World Models. and COO Laurent Solly, who has extensive experience in global technology operations.
AMI develops models of the world that learn abstract representations of reality, similar to the mental models that humans use to reason and guide behavior. These systems predict how situations will develop and what the consequences of actions will be, allowing them to plan courses of action under real-world constraints, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.
To support this large-scale, long-term ambition, AMI has raised $1.03 billion (approximately €890 million) in funding.
The round is co-led by Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital, and Jeff Bezos Expeditions.
