A local restaurant is creating a stir on the Buffalo Sub-Reddit (reddit.com/r/Buffalo) over its use of AI-generated images.
Artificial intelligence has had a huge impact on the world in a very short period of time. Some great things happened, like the ability to complete an unreleased Beatles song thanks to AI. There are also funny parody songs and pictures that are so ridiculous that it's kind of good.
There are also downsides. AI is starting to take away people's jobs. Leading companies are leaning toward leveraging AI to perform critical but simple digital tasks that previously replaced humans.
However, many companies quickly regret their decision due to the poor quality and accuracy of the work.
One of the big areas where people are looking to leverage AI is marketing. Just enter a few words and the AI will generate the image you like. A new restaurant in Buffalo, New York, has decided to do just that. They created several AI images to put on the front of their store to market and promote themselves. As seen on Buffalo Sub-Reddit:

As you can see, these are definitely AI-generated. Many in this thread are upset about the use of AI instead of humans to create marketing materials. Some defend them because marketing is expensive and time-consuming.
Personally, I think the images used are interesting, but you're asking for trouble. People rightly protect the people who work in these jobs. Plus, it doesn't look good either. If it's not a joke, then it's a joke, right?
Having owned a bar myself, I can tell you that many business owners are looking for cheap and quick marketing solutions. They rarely work. Marketing requires people, and it takes people who know what they're doing. Business owners don't specialize in this unless they own a marketing company. They need help disseminating information about their business frequently and continuously. We also don't want to end up creating unwanted conversations.
Maybe this place wanted this?
