Artificial Intelligence, Space Food, and Polyphenols: Two Ambitious Projects
The 2023 Global Conference on Polyphenols Applications in Malta on 28th and 29th September will support two projects to advance innovation in polyphenols.
1- Polyphenols and artificial intelligence:
This project aims to leverage artificial intelligence technology to enhance our understanding and utilization of polyphenols. Utilize machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets on polyphenols, including chemical structure, biological activity, and health effects. By developing predictive models, we aim to uncover patterns and correlations that will aid in the identification of novel polyphenols with therapeutic potential. Additionally, AI algorithms are used to explore optimization of polyphenol formulations to enhance stability, bioavailability and sensory properties.
2- Polyphenols and space food:
This project focuses on developing space foods incorporating polyphenols to enhance the nutritional value and health of astronauts during space missions. We analyze the stability, bioavailability, and sensory aspects of polyphenols in space food formulations. The team will work to optimize preservation of the beneficial properties of polyphenols given space constraints such as weight restrictions and shelf life requirements. We will also explore innovative ways to incorporate polyphenols into different types of space food to ensure compatibility with the unique challenges of space travel.
