In the context of global turmoil, Mr. Tokayev stressed the critical importance of strengthening national competitiveness to ensure growth and prosperity.
“We have taken a number of decisive steps in this direction. The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development has been established. A legal framework for the implementation of new technologies has been developed and the Digital Code has been adopted. The “Law on Artificial Intelligence” has entered into force. The Digital Kazakhstan Strategy will soon be approved, setting the direction for the country’s digital development. As you know, this year has been declared the year of digitalization and artificial intelligence. Kazakhstan, we must unite and strive selflessly to achieve our goals,” said the head of state.
Mr. Tokayev noted that the rapid development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence requires continuous updating of approaches.
He emphasized the importance of computing infrastructure and cited the launch of supercomputer clusters as a major step toward strengthening technological sovereignty.
The next milestone, he said, is the creation of a “data center valley” in Kazakhstan. It is a large-scale project that is expected to attract investment and strengthen the country’s role as a regional digital hub.
Tokayev emphasized that “comprehensive digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence have become important elements in the comprehensive modernization of our country, from administrative systems to creative industries.”
The President reminded that the future Games will be held in Astana this summer, which will bring together about 1,000 athletes from 50 countries.
