POTTSVILLE — The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce has “signed on” to offer AI for Small Businesses, a 90-minute online webinar “focused on how small businesses can use AI to save time and work smarter,” according to a release from the chamber’s Anthony Merchlinski.

Scheduled for February 24th at 1pm, speakers will include Frank Kenny and Norma Davey of The Chamber Pros Community.

The sessions will include live training and on-demand access, clear beginner- and intermediate-friendly guidance, and “ready-to-use” ideas for your business, according to Merchlinsky’s release.

“There is a small registration fee and access is restricted to members only,” according to the release.

Chamber of Commerce Business Forum Sponsor: PSU Schuylkill

Schuylkill Haven — The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Business Executive Forum, hosted by Penn State Schuylkill, will be held March 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Health & Wellness Room 201 at PSU Schuylkill.

At the gathering, Penn State Executive Vice President and President Fotis Sotiropoulos will participate in a “keynote interview” to provide attendees with “a high-level perspective on leadership in today’s evolving business and economic climate,” according to a release from the chamber.

“This engaging conversation explores the impact of executive leadership, economic impact, community engagement and outreach, change management, workforce development, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, on organizations, institutions, and the future of work.”

The presentation is designed for business executives, organizational leaders and community stakeholders, the chamber said.

YMCA gym center ribbon cutting

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is promoting the following ribbon cutting ceremonies.

■ There will be a grand opening of the new gymnastics center at the Schuylkill County YMCA at the University of Alvernia Pottsville on March 5, 500 Progress Ave. from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This addition represents an investment in the development, health and opportunity of youth within our community and is designed to provide a safe, modern and stimulating environment. Helps young athletes of all skill levels build strength, confidence, discipline and teamwork. There will be brief remarks, a ceremonial ribbon cutting, an opportunity to tour the new facility, and time to connect with chamber colleagues and community leaders.
