Plume has announced that it has appointed Chris Griffiths as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is doubling its commitment to adding leaders to its executive team, which has experience working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Working with Plume CEO Dan Herscovici and new CEO Dave Wechsler of Comcast Xfinity, Griffiths, who worked as Senior Vice President of Cujo AI, handles ISPs across the technology stack for over 20 years, leading the deployment of large-scale internet and security solutions with a track record of innovation and execution.
This move is a plume of weapons with the technical leadership and experience needed for the next stage of the company to build smarter, faster, more flexible solutions for ISPs and become a reliable technology partner. With data from over 400 ISP customers, Plume has extensive tools for providers to identify trends across their networks, improve business operations, build robust security solutions, and enhance consumer loyalty.
With one of the world's largest connected device datasets, Plume's AI engine learns from billions of interactions, actively solving problems, personalize experiences, and adapt in real time. The ability of Plume to turn data into actions places it as the foundation platform for connected homes and businesses, reducing costs while unlocking new services and growth opportunities at scale.
A track record of success at ISP
Griffiths will be participating in Cube3.ai's Plume. He co-founded and served as CTO. He also served as Senior Vice President of Cujo AI, a global leader in AI development and application, to improve security and management of connected devices in homes and businesses.
Griffith spent more than a decade with Comcast to help build and expand Xfinity's home and internet, playing a central role in deploying wireless and Wi-Fi solutions to millions of customers across the United States. He worked with Herscovici and Dave Wechsler, the Chief Business Officer of the new Plume, on the Comcast stand.
Chris is also an active participant in industry organizations such as the Domain Name System Operations Analysis and Research Center (DNS-OARC), ICANN, Internet Society and the Internet Engineering Task Force, supporting the open standards, interoperability, security and stability of the Internet.
Full shift to ISP | DTC business decline
As part of Plume's focused efforts to solve the needs of its ISP customers, the company is removing its consumer business. It now functions exclusively through ISP customers, providing a smarter, faster, safer Wi-Fi experience, and drives business success through customized, data-driven solutions.
Plume Home and SuperPod customers will continue to enjoy uninterrupted service with existing hardware and subscriptions supported through transitions. Those who are already subscribed will be offering Plume Home Service free of charge and will continue to get software and firmware updates. Plume communicates directly with these customers to ensure a smooth experience and emphasizes gratitude and continued support.
Daniel Herscovici, CEO
I worked with Chris and followed his career closely. He is a world-class engineer, problem solver and leader. Chris spent his career building scalable technology that strengthens relationships between ISPs and their customers. Together, we need to rebuild the plume to grow our customers of ISPs, who are flexible, positive, and relentlessly customer-centric technology and business partners.
Chris Griffith, CTO
Plume continues to define categories with intelligent Wi-Fi management, innovate and lift the bars of ISPs. As consumer needs evolve, ISPs need real-time practical intelligence that helps them better understand what's going on across their networks, improve operational efficiency and build better experiences that are ahead of the next thing. We are excited to join Plume and partner with Dan to help drive customer impact and shape the future of this industry.
