Google appears to be working on some new changes to its platform to improve its overall efficiency and attract additional traffic. This is something the company has always been working on, but this time there are some notable additions.
One of the new updates the company is working on is an enhancement to its AI-driven system that not only adds the option of subtitles to uploaded videos, but can actually convert videos into alternative languages using a service called Aloud. It can also be dubbed. The news comes from VidCon, who said the company is looking into offering the ability to dub videos in minutes using his AI. The service is free to users and greatly expands the potential audience of these videos.
This is a great idea and should lead to increased traffic for both users and YouTube overall. Users don’t have to read subtitles, they just listen in another language. Starting with Spanish and Portuguese (more options coming soon). This option has already been released to some YouTube creators and will hopefully prove to be very popular.
In addition to this, the company appears to be working on the ability to play games on the platform. An option available for both computer and mobile users. If this information is true, it is currently undergoing internal testing by employees and there is no official announcement from the company yet. This also means that there is no word on whether this will be a hidden feature behind subscriptions or whether anyone will be able to upload games to the public. Or whether you can go anywhere.
